When a roof starts failing on a building this significant, the damage doesn't stop at the surface. The old roof at SV Temple of Colorado had been letting water in long enough that it worked its way through the ceiling below - staining and destroying interior ceiling tiles. That's the thing about flat roof leaks. By the time you see damage inside, the problem above has usually been going on for a while.
We came in and stripped things back to start fresh. The new system is an 80 mil TPO membrane installed over 5 and 1/4 inch ISO insulation. That combination is a serious upgrade. The thicker TPO membrane gives you a much more durable, puncture-resistant surface, and the ISO insulation underneath adds real thermal performance - which matters year-round in Colorado. We also laid new walkway paths across the roof to protect the membrane in high-traffic areas long-term.
What made this job unique was the building itself. The temple has an incredible amount of architectural detail - ornate towers, decorative stonework, skylights, and complex roof geometry at every turn. Flat roofing on a building like this isn't just rolling out membrane and calling it a day. Every penetration, every transition, every edge has to be done right. Our crew worked through all of it methodically, and you can see the clean white TPO surface laid out across the full roof deck once everything came together.
We didn't stop at the roof either. The interior ceiling tiles that took water damage from the old leaks - we replaced those too. That kind of full-scope approach is what actually puts a problem behind you. Patching a roof and leaving water-damaged ceilings behind just leaves the evidence of a job half done.
This is the type of work we genuinely take pride in. A building that serves a community this way deserves to be protected properly. If your commercial property has a flat roof that's giving you trouble - whether it's active leaks, interior damage, or a system that's just past its useful life - this is exactly the kind of problem we handle.
